This training is run by our Clinical Director, Dr Katherine Cox

In this training, we will consider how to work with refugees, asylum seekers and other forcibly displaced people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts and/or intent.

  • What are the internal and external influences which can lead someone to want to end their lives and, conversely, to prevent them from ending their lives

  • What does working with people who are feeling suicidal bring up for us?

  • Some models and theories, facts and figures

  • Ways of working courageously and creatively with people who are experiencing thoughts of suicide
